The Gooding Accounts team are celebrating after being named as finalists in the Bath Life awards for the third consecutive year. 2026 saw the awards receive almost 500 nomination so we’re delighted to join just a handful of prestigious local firms who will compete in the Financial and Legal Category. The awards, now in their 21st year celebrate the very best that Bath and the surrounding area has to offer, from bars and restaurants to professional services and charities.
The judges were impressed with the firm’s continued growth in addition to it’s dedication to training local accountancy talent. They acknowledged that 2025 represented a new era for Gooding Accounts with their move to White Horse Business Park allowing them to provide improved facilities for clients and employees alike.
The businesses ongoing commitment to the community was also praised. 2025 saw the team organise and host a charity Golf Day, raising £12,000 for charities who supported a colleague when her 5-year-old granddaughter faced a life threatening disease. The event was such a success that is has already been rescheduled for 2026!
The firm also continue to sponsor a number of grass roots sports teams as well as local community events. Aligning with their passion for training – Management Training Plus’ annual Apprentice of the Year Awards received sponsorship, and events including WHY’s annual charity ball and community event ‘Trowfest’. In 2025 the firm supported Trowbridge Town FC, Westbury United FC, The Manor School Football Teams, Calne Town Football – Boys Under 7s, Trowbridge Rugby Club girls’ teams (Under 12s, Under 14’s and Under 16s) among many others!
We’re looking forward to celebrating with other finalists at a reception with the awards evening to follow in March and hope to bring the award back to Wiltshire this time!
