Client Liaison

Salary: Up to 21K
Job Type: Full Time (37.5h per week)

We are looking to create a new role for the right candidate who will play a critical role in the firm, liaising with new and existing clients ensuring smooth lines of communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend client meetings to assess the services required
  • Create and send fee proposals to new and existing clients
  • Chase outstanding proposals
  • Liaise with clients to discuss the billing set up
  • Review existing clients billing structures and communicate any changes required
  • Communicate any confirmed and proposed changes with the team
  • Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and/or the management team

Desired attributes

  • Experience of dealing with customers, sometimes in difficult situations
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Possess relevant NVQ qualifications, or specialist qualifications in Customer Services is preferable but not essential

Client Bookkeeper

Salary: £18K to £23K (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full Time (37.5h per week)
Westbury or Warminster Office

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate bank payments and receipts
  • Carry out bank reconciliations
  • Timely completion of VAT returns
  • Preparing monthly CIS returns (if applicable)
  • Check that transactions are accurate and error free
  • Complete checklists for month end and year end, ensuring all relevant paperwork is attached
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and other members of the team
  • Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and/or the management team

Candidates required attributes, & skill sets

  • Bookkeeping experience – further training will be given
  • Ability to use own initiative and work autonomously, as well as part of a team
  • Adaptable, keen and flexible approach
  • Punctual and attentive – able to support a busy team

About the role

As a Client Manager within the Tax team you will play a crucial role, working closely with the managers and partners to deliver compliance and aid tax planning to a mix of trust and personal tax clients, and supporting the team with their client relationships.

About you

The ideal candidate will be qualified. However, part qualified candidates will also be considered as will those qualified by experience. We are looking for someone who is able to:

  • Support the successful delivery of our personal tax compliance services, with the aim of being able to provide personal tax advice on a wide range of assignments including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and international tax matters.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, mangers, directors, and team members
  • Take an interest in our clients’ strategic and commercial, and personal objectives
  • Work under pressure with attention to detail
  • Manage a portfolio of clients; maintaining client focus which would include client meetings and regular communications

  • Good up-to-date CPE and knowledge of recent developments in accounting standards
