The Apprentice of the Year Awards are the highlight of the calendar for local firm Management Training Plus. With Gooding Account’s passion for creating opportunities for local talent we’re delighted to sponsor the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ Award at their Awards day at the end of October at Warminster School. The apprentices were joined by Alex Local (West Country News Anchor) as they celebrated their success.
Gooding Accounts’ Partner Sam, joined the other local business owners to support the apprentices who were nominated and was pleased to congratulate Leila Sheppard on her ‘Apprentice of the Year’ win.
Here at Gooding Accounts we’re committed to nurturing and empowering local talent. Since taking on our first apprentice in 2017 many young people have received their accountancy training alongside working day-to-day in our vibrant accountancy practice. We now run our own accountancy training programme through Gooding Training Academy. With exam results consistently above 85% we couldn’t be more proud of what our trainees are achieving. Every trainee is mentored by an experienced accountancy professional within the firm and training is delivered by practicing Chartered Accountant, and Training Manager, Sam Bates. The ability to deliver real-world examples gives a practical context and our Gooding Accounts trainees go on to become valued members of our team, winning their own awards and promotions along the way!
