We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for the Business of the Year Award in the Business Desk’s South West Business of the Year Awards.
The awards celebrate the very best business success across the whole of the South West and include a diverse range of companies who are all innovating, disrupting and thriving.
The judges were impressed with Gooding Accounts growth over the last 10 years, building from a single client and a home office to a multi-location practice providing a full range of accountancy services to more than 2000 clients across Wiltshire and beyond.
As an employer the business stood out as creating a positive team culture built on a strong foundation of ‘values’ which give the team a framework for working behaviours. The firm’s supportive environment of weekly touchpoints with mentors and small teams, alongside monthly in-person company-wide meetings, was credited with maintaining the cohesive team who genuinely enjoy each other’s company. The relaxed open-door policy of the senior team, along with Sam Gooding’s ongoing commitment to be present in all offices every week was seen as a real bonus.
Gooding Accounts’ dedication to the community was also identified as contributing to their success, particularly the impressive pledge to raise at least £50,000 for local charities to celebrate 10 years in business. The team’s willingness to take on personal challenges in their own time to contribute to the fundraising total demonstrates their passion for the cause and their support for the business and its’ values.
