We’re delighted to share the news that Gooding Accounts has been named a Silver runner-up in the Employer of the Year category at the national Accounting Excellence Awards.
A number of our team joined us at the awards ceremony at London’s iconic Roundhouse to celebrate the achievement – and it was a fantastic evening recognising the people and businesses making a difference across the UK accounting profession.
This award is particularly special because it marks another step forward for the firm.
At last year’s Accounting Excellence Awards, we were thrilled to be named Bronze winners in the Employer of the Year – Small Firm category. To return this year and achieve Silver in the Mier-Tier Firm category is a real reflection of how we have continued to grow and develop as a business, while keeping the focus firmly on our people.
The award also comes at an exciting time in the firm’s journey. In July this year, we announced that Gooding Accounts has joined forces with DJH, becoming part of a larger, like-minded accountancy group. Becoming part of DJH (who were also shortlisted in the Employer of the Year Category – Large Firm) gives us the chance to build on everything that has made Gooding Accounts successful, while giving our team and our clients access to the additional expertise, resources and opportunities that come with being part of a larger firm. And our people will remain at the very heart of everything we do.
Employer of the Year is ultimately an award for the whole team. From the people who work directly with our clients every day, to those supporting the business behind the scenes, everyone plays a part in creating a culture to be proud of.
Winning Silver in the Medium Firm category, following last year’s Bronze award, gives us plenty to celebrate — but we’re also looking forward to what comes next.
